Kawai R-100 Digital Drum Machine

Kawai R-100 Digital Drum Machine

This unit is a real beauty. Fully tested and working perfectly. It comes complete with power, manual, other literature, Factory Rhythm Pattern Cassette and original packaging.Ā

In very good condition. Some very minor scuffs but expected given its age. Grab yourself a piece of drum machine history.

The Kawai R-100 Digital Drum Machine is a drum machine released in 1987 by Kawai. It is known for being the bigger brother of the R-50 and featuring velocity-sensitive pads, unlike the R-50. The R-100 includes 24 on-board samples in 12-bit PCM format with a sample rate of 32kHz. It offers eight individual outputs as well as stereo and mono outputs for routing to an external mixing desk.

The drum machine supports MIDI through, MIDI input, and MIDI output. It has 8 voices of polyphony and 8 pads. Users can store up to 100 patterns, 100 songs, and 3500 notes in its internal memory. Additionally, the separately available RC-16 cartridge can store backup copies of all information currently in the R-100's internal memory.

The R-100 includes various percussion sounds such as bass drums, tom-toms, ride cymbals, crash cymbals, snares, hi-hats, claps, tambourine, china cymbal, agogo, cowbell, conga, claves, shaker, and timbale.
